â–¸How much time do we get onstage?

All bands will get 25 minutes or perform an average of 4 songs in each event.

â–¸What backline do you use for the concert?

Everyone will get to use the same standard backline: 2 DI for guitars, 2 Di for bass, Roland rd700sx electric piano and a five-piece pearl export ex series drum kit  

 

â–¸How are the winners decided on?

Winners will be decided on by 50% Judges' Decision and 50% Audience Votes. In the venue and in livestreaming, audience votes will be settled with poll.

â–¸Will there be an online qualification first to decide who will play live?

Every band who registers is guaranteed to play live in the Battle of the bands. There is no online qualification to choose which band will play live.

However, all bands must include what instrument will be played

â–¸When is the deadline of band applications?

There is deadline for band applications. Applications will close on the 31st of august 2020

â–¸Do we keep the copyright of our songs?

Yes of course! We only ask permission to use it for promotional purposes.

â–¸Can solo artists enter?

The competition is open to bands with two to 10 members. However, solo artists can put together a band for the competition if they wish.

â–¸Can we play cover songs?

 Yes, you can play cover songs

â–¸Can we play instrumentals?

Yes, you can play instrumentals

â–¸Will we have to sign any kind of contract?

We only ask all participating bands in Battle of the Bands to us the permission to use their name, image, songs, and videos for promotional purposes only.

â–¸Is there an age limit for band members or audiences?

There is no age limit for band members and audiences.

â–¸Can we use our own amplifiers and drums?

No. The organisers will provide the complete back line, including a variety of monitor speakers on stage. Any special equipment must be set up on stage before the concert starts and remain on stage until the concert is over. Any equipment on the stage must be available for use by any of the bands. You must use your own personal instruments (guitars and bass etc.) and drummers must bring their own sticks. You can also use your own effect pedals.

â–¸Can we bring our own sound engineer?

Yes, but he will only be there as an advisor to inform the organisers' sound engineer where solos etc come in the songs and any other special requirements.

â–¸Can we bring our own lighting engineer?

The organizers will provide all lighting technicians.

​

â–¸Can we bring our own road crew?

The organizers will supply all necessary stage crew.

​

â–¸Can we use our own backdrop?

No.
